Writing Compelling Web Sales Copy

Your headline is the most important part of your sales letter. If you are unable to get your prospect’s attention and persuade them to keep reading, you will not make any sales. In fact, the headline is said to account for about eighty percent of the success of your web sales copy. The important thing is to grab attention, compel the reader to keep reading, and to tell a story that will help the prospect to see themselves using your product or service.

An attention grabbing headline will get you off to an excellent start with your sales copy. There are many headlines that have been used over and over, including:

Writing Sales Letters and Other Web Sales Copy

Writing sales letters and other web copy is a skill you will want to cultivate. This is something that you must do in order to sell your products and services online, and it is much better if you learn how to do it yourself instead of having to pay others to do it for you. In order to become a great copywriter, you must practice regularly, test the results of what you have written, and be willing to continue learning by studying the work of others on a daily basis. By doing this for my own business I now have sales letters that have earned me more than twenty-five thousand dollars and continue to sell for me online.

The way I was able to write my first sales letter was to write it out by hand sentence by sentence. I had an idea of what I wanted to say, and just started writing. This turned out to be the best thing I could have done, because I was much more aware of the process. I had also heard that web sales copy was a formula, with
